A4H Ben Corbin at the Astronaut Hall of Fame

A4H Ben Corbin (right) with Astronaut Fred Haise (center) Astronauts4Hire new recruit Ben Corbin attended the 2010 U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame Induction Gala at the Kennedy Space Center this past weekend. Corbin, who is an Astronaut Scholarship recipient (2007-2008), also attended the pre-induction gala on Friday night, which included a dinner beneath the Saturn V rocket with many Hall of Fame astronauts from all U.S. human spaceflight programs. Astronauts attendees included Buzz Aldrin , Scott Carpenter , Walt Cunningham , Fred Haise , Owen Garriot , and Story Musgrave , among many others. This year’s inductees to the Astronaut Hall of Fame were Guion 'Guy' Bluford, Jr. , Ken Bowersox , Frank Culbertson, Jr. , and Kathy Thornton , all shuttle era astronauts. A4H Bruce Davis Speaks with Elected Members of Congress

Bruce discusses space policy with Senator Mark Udall of Colorado Last week, A4H’s very own Bruce Davis traveled to Washington DC to educate congressional staffers and elected officials on the state of the space industry, and the importance of space exploration to the United States. Bruce was traveling with the Citizen’s for Space Exploration , a grassroots organization which annually travels to Capitol Hill to talk about space. This year, over 120 people (including 20 students) walked the halls of the legislative branch and visited over 350 congressional offices. For each visit, the volunteers engage the staffers by asking for their perspectives on the current NASA issues and in a bi-partisan manner fill in the gaps / misunderstandings that sometimes occur. A4H at the STS-132 Shuttle Launch

Astronauts4Hire Brian Shiro , Amnon Govrin , and Ryan Kobrick witnessed the final flight of the Atlantis orbiter as it thundered into orbit from the NASA Kennedy Space Center on May 14, 2010.  Govrin and Kobrick viewed the spectacle from the Vehicle Assembly Building as part of the NASA STS-132 Tweetup , and Shiro was on the West Causeway with some of his former MDRS crewmembers. Afterward, they all attended the Space Tweep Society 's 1st Anniversary Twelebration , where Astronauts4Hire was the topic of conversation among some of the tweeps present.  The next day, Shiro and Govrin met with fellow A4H Joe Palaia  who showed them the site where the new Interspace attraction will be built.  Shiro and Palaia also toured some NASA facilities.  Meanwhile, Kobrick plans to spend a few days in Florida getting some rest and relaxation after his recent successful Ph.D. defense.   The entire A4H team has been very busy for the past month getting the organization's ...
